Our Little Cove Early Learning Brand & Website Proposal

Everything you do is part of the brand experience.

Hi Bec 👋

I’m thrilled to hear about your exciting business venture!

I love the inspiration of a secluded ‘cove’, and your vision for brand elements of palms, botanicals, and greenery. Ideas are already flowing!

This project has the potential to create something truly special, where parents feel confident and children feel inspired, and I’d love to help you bring this vision to life.

This proposal outlines what a brand identity project for Our Little Cove Early Learning could look like, including timelines and associated fees.

Objective 1: To craft an inspiring brand that brings your vision to life.

Objective 2 : To design & develop a website that is both welcoming and functional, helping the centre stand out in a competitive market while resonating with parents and children alike.

Objective 3: To infuse this brand into marketing material, providing everything you need for a successful launch. The marketing framework will guide you in how your brand operates in action, giving you the confidence to promote Our Little Cove beyond the initial steps.

I hope you enjoy reading through the proposal below.

Thanks,
Saara

Brand Identity

Phase 1 - 3-4 weeks

A successful brand identity is one that clearly communicates a brand’s purpose, values, and personality while resonating with its target audience. It’s distinct and memorable, standing out in a crowded market with unique visuals, messaging, and tone. Consistency across all brand touchpoints—from logos and colour palettes to marketing materials and customer interactions—helps build recognition and trust. Most importantly, a strong brand identity evokes an emotional connection, fostering loyalty and creating a lasting impression that aligns with the brand’s mission and resonates with its audience’s needs and values.

Brand Exploration, Creative Direction & Stylescape

This phase is one of the most in-depth and detailed parts of the branding process, involving thorough research, exploration, reflection, and refinement. It begins by carefully listening to your vision and understanding the unique aspects of your business. From there, I cast a wide net, exploring colours, fonts, graphic elements, and inspiration from the world around us. This research allows me to gather insights that will shape your brand’s identity.

Once a clear direction begins to take shape, I’ll present a detailed stylescape (like a moodboard but much more extensive)—a visual blueprint that brings together all the key elements, including curated images, colour palettes, textures, and stylistic choices. This gives you a clear picture of the aesthetic and tone we’re building for your brand. By aligning all creative efforts, the stylescape ensures consistency and cohesion, providing a foundation for the next stage of the process.

Logo Design

Your logo is more than just an identifying mark; it’s the face of your brand and the first impression of Our Little Cove. Using the approved Stylescape as inspiration, I will create two unique logo concepts for you to choose from, each thoughtfully designed to capture the spirit of your brand.

Your logo concepts will be presented in a way that lets you visualise how it’ll work within the brand, and what it might look like online and in print.

Brand Identity

Building on the approved stylescape and logo, I’ll refine the brand’s visual language to ensure everything aligns seamlessly. This includes perfecting the typefaces, colour palettes, and graphic elements that will consistently represent Our Little Cove across all touchpoints—whether online, in print, or within your physical space. The result will be a cohesive, polished brand identity that authentically reflects the essence of your business and resonates with your audience.

Website

Phase 2 - 2-3 weeks

Your website is the perfect place for your brand to come to life. The ideal website is part branding, part storytelling, and provides a welcoming, engaging space for families and carers to connect with your vision.

I build custom websites in Squarespace, a fantastic user-friendly platform with great design functionality.

The home page and 1 x sub page will be designed first for concept approval

The remaining pages are then designed based on the approved concept.

If you need help with copywriting, I can help put you in contact with some professionals.

Marketing Material

Phase 3 - 2-4 weeks

The key to a successful brand lies in how it comes to life across every touchpoint. By integrating the brand’s personality and values into each marketing element, we create a cohesive and memorable experience that reinforces trust and connection at every step.

Marketing Collateral

I’ll demonstrate how the brand experience translates across various touchpoints. This will include the design of a Parent Handbook, Opening Flyer and Banner.

Social Media Direction

In addition to printed marketing materials, I’ll illustrate how your brand will be represented across social media platforms.

An effective social media presence is both consistent and engaging. To achieve this, I will design a series of 9 branded tiles, each featuring a variety of layouts, colours, photos, and graphics. This approach will provide a clear brand vision and establish a solid direction for anyone creating social media posts in the future.

Your templates may cover a range of ideas, including: centre announcements, frequently asked questions (FAQs), highlights of your unique offerings, testimonial templates, centre activity showcases, activity ideas, fun facts, and meet the team.

Brand Manual

A brand manual provides clear guidelines on using your logo, colours, fonts, and design elements, giving you the confidence to represent your brand consistently and effectively across all channels. It ensures everyone involved can create a cohesive brand experience that aligns with your vision.

Canva Social Media Templates
& Brand Kit

I always aim to support and empower, ensuring you have the confidence to post on brand on your own. All approved designs will be uploaded into Canva as templates for you to customise easily.

I’ll also set up a brand kit so all your fonts, colours and logos are ready to easily access.

Timelines:

Timelines may extend if the relevant content needed or feedback is delayed by yourself.

Additional Fees:

Amends: While I am committed to ensuring your satisfaction with the designs, please note that the proposal includes one round of amends for each phase of the project (which are rarely all needed). Should additional amendments beyond this round be required, I will need to reassess the scope of work and may need to provide a revised quote for the extra services. This policy helps maintain project timelines and ensures that I can deliver the highest quality work.

Website: Like all websites, your Squarespace subscription and domain are additional monthly fees - these are charged by Squarespace. Squarespace’s monthly fee encompasses reliable hosting, security, customer support, and regular updates, ensuring your website remains functional and professional while providing essential tools for growth. A breakdown of fees can be found here:

https://www.squarespace.com/pricing

Fonts: I will always endeavour to use free fonts, though for something more unique, these occasionally need to be purchased by you for a small fee. It is a legal requirement that a company purchases any commercial fonts used in its branding materials, I can assist in sourcing these fonts to guarantee compliance with copyright laws.

Canva: To have access to the Canva templates, you will need to have a PRO subscription

SEO: SEO is a craft unto itself. I build websites that bring the brand to life and speak to our ideal client. I’ll set the brand up with basic SEO, yet recommend you hire the experts to take over to achieve the best results in the future.

When can we get started?

Your brand deserves my full attention, which is why I work on a limited number of projects at a time.

My next opening is mid November. When you accept this proposal and pay the deposit, my time will be blocked off to give my full attention to our project.

Once we're locked in, I will provide a full project rundown with deadlines and tasks for both of us to complete.

Thank you for the opportunity to prepare this proposal for you, I look forward to hearing from you soon.
