This proposal outlines what a branding project could look like, including timelines and associated fees.

The primary objective is to create a distinctive and elevated brand identity - a logo, visual language, and social media assets that capture the essence of Bazaar & Bar. A brand that feels refined yet approachable, weaving together modern Indian influences with the laid-back feel of a Sydney wine bar.

The second objective is to develop a simple but impactful website - a place for customers to explore the vision, view a sample menu, sign up for updates, book a table (when open), and get a feel for what makes Bazaar & Bar unique.

The third objective is to ensure you have everything needed to create a cohesive brand experience — so every interaction with Bazaar & Bar feels seamless, memorable, and intentional.

Brand Identity

Phase 1 - 3-4 weeks

A successful brand identity is so much more than a logo — it’s the visual and emotional world that surrounds your brand and shapes how people experience it. It’s what makes your business feel intentional, cohesive, and memorable from the first interaction.

For a brand like Bazaar & Bar, where the concept is fresh and modern, but the roots run deep in culture and flavour, getting the brand identity right from the start will help set the tone for everything — from the vibe of the space to how people connect with you online and in person.

This is about creating a brand that feels aligned with your vision, speaks directly to your audience, and has all the tools to remain consistent as you grow.

Brand Strategy, Creative Direction & Stylescape

This phase is one of the most in-depth and detailed parts of the branding process, involving thorough research, exploration, reflection, and refinement. It begins by carefully listening to your vision and understanding the unique aspects of your business. From there, I cast a wide net, exploring colours, fonts, graphic elements, and inspiration from the world around us. This research allows me to gather insights that will shape your brand’s identity and overall strategy.

Once a clear direction begins to take shape, I’ll present a detailed stylescape (like a moodboard but much more extensive)—a visual blueprint that brings together all the key elements, including typography direction, colour palettes, graphic elements, and stylistic choices.

This presentation is designed to ensure we are aligned on the creative direction before diving deep into the branding. By reviewing and discussing the stylescape together, we can confirm that the proposed vision reflects your goals and resonates with your customers. This alignment not only ensures clarity and consistency but also provides a solid foundation for the next steps in bringing your brand to life.

Logo Design

Your logo is more than just an identifying mark; it’s the face of your brand and the first impression customers will have. Using the approved Stylescape as inspiration, I will create a logo thoughtfully designed to capture the spirit of Bazaar & Bar. I’ll present 2-3 logo concepts, and refine your chosen concept.

Brand Identity

Building on the approved stylescape and logo, I’ll explore the brand’s visual language. This includes typefaces, colour palettes, textures, and graphic elements that will consistently represent your brand across all touchpoints. The result will be a cohesive brand identity that authentically reflects the essence of Bazaar & Bar.

Social Media Branding

Based on the approved brand identity, I’ll design and curate an initial 12-tile Instagram feed that showcases how your brand elements work harmoniously together. This feed will include a mix of layouts, colours, photos, and graphics, offering a clear vision and direction for future social media posts.

The 12 tiles will hype Bazaar & Bar up for launch. Branded templates may include teasers, concept intros, retail sneak peeks, menu/drink feature posts, atmosphere sneak peek, meet the makers etc.

These designs will demonstrate how to create an authentic, consistent, and visually cohesive brand presence.

The tiles will be delivered as JPGs, ready to post on Instagram and Facebook at your convenience.

Canva Social Media Templates
& Brand Kit

I always aim to support and empower, ensuring you have the confidence to post on brand on your own. All approved designs will be uploaded into Canva as templates for you to customise easily.

I’ll also set up a brand kit so all your fonts, colours and logos are ready to easily access.

Please note, you do need Canva Pro for this.

Website

Phase 2 - 2 weeks

I specialise in designing custom websites on Squarespace. I choose Squarespace as its an intuitive platform that empowers clients to easily update and manage their websites without needing ongoing support from a designer or developer (though I’m here if you need me!). Its robust support ensures help is always available, and its versatile design capabilities allow for results that align perfectly with the brand’s identity.

Website Design

This is where we’ll translate your brand into an engaging online experience. I’ll design a site that reflects the refined yet relaxed feel of Bazaar & Bar — blending your brand identity, imagery, and messaging to set the right tone from the first click. This phase focuses on look, feel, layout, and user flow, making sure it's easy to navigate and feels beautifully cohesive with the space and offering.

I’ve noted your preference for a simple, landing-page style website with minimal content.

An initial website concept will be presented, to ensure we are aligned on direction.

Website Development

Once the design is approved, I’ll build the site in Squarespace — making sure it’s fully responsive (mobile-friendly), easy to navigate, with basic SEO setup. You’ll receive a walkthrough video so you know exactly how to update content moving forward.

A landing page including

  • About – Highlighting Bazaar & Bar’s story, imagery, and vibe

  • Menu – Featuring a sample menu

  • Newsletter Signup – To build anticipation and a mailing list before/after opening

  • Contact – Including location (when available), opening hours, contact details

  • Bookings – Button link to your preferred booking platform

Ongoing Opportunities

As we discussed, many of my clients prefer to begin with the core branding work and then transition to a retainer for ongoing design support. My goal is to empower you, so in stage one, I’ll provide everything you need to establish a strong and cohesive brand foundation.

While I would love the opportunity to be involved throughout the entire journey and help with all the smaller design tasks that come up, I understand that this is something you might want to explore once you’ve seen how we work together. This service will allow you to stay connected with your audience, create anticipation for your opening, and keep them engaged with special offers and events after launch.

Packaging & Retail Design

Create an initial packaging concept for the small-batch retail range that ties seamlessly into the Bazaar & Bar brand, while feeling strong enough to stand alone.

This phase focuses on concept and creative direction — enough to get the retail vision started.

Future development and product rollouts can be explored throughout the retainer period.

Staff Uniforms

Design simple, on-brand staff uniform concepts that feel aligned with the Bazaar & Bar aesthetic.

  • Uniform concept direction (aprons, shirts)

  • Recommendations for colours, materials, and detailing that connect to the brand identity

  • Exploration of branding elements (subtle logo placement, custom embroidery, tags)

Rebranding Sketch

Refresh and evolve the brand identity of Sketch.

  • Brand audit and strategy for Sketch, ensuring it reflects the unique atmosphere of the venue

  • Logo design, typography, and color palette updates, if needed

  • Social media branding, signage, and marketing material to reflect the refreshed identity

  • Consideration for how the rebrand can complement Bazaar & Bar’s identity while standing strong as its own entity

For Brand Identity + Website, the project fees are split into four milestones:

25% deposit paid upon proposal approval, to secure your booking in my schedule.
25% paid upon delivery of the Brand Identity.
25% paid upon website first concepts.
25% paid upon project completion, before final files are sent and site goes live.

Timelines:

Timelines may extend if the relevant content needed or feedback is delayed by yourself.

Additional Fees:

Amends: While I am committed to ensuring your satisfaction with the designs, please note that the proposal includes one round of amends for each phase of the project (which are rarely all needed). Should additional amendments beyond this round be required, I will need to reassess the scope of work and may need to provide a revised quote for the extra services. This policy helps maintain project timelines and ensures that I can deliver the highest quality work.

Website: Like all websites, your Squarespace subscription, domain etc are additional monthly fees - these are charged by Squarespace. Squarespace’s monthly fee encompasses reliable hosting, security, customer support, and regular updates, ensuring your website remains functional and professional while providing essential tools for growth. I usually have promo codes I can source for 30% off your first year.

Fonts: I will always endeavour to use free fonts, though for something more unique, these occasionally need to be purchased by you for a small fee. It is a legal requirement that a company purchases any commercial fonts used in its branding materials, I can assist in sourcing these fonts to guarantee compliance with copyright laws.

Canva: To have access to the Canva templates, you will need to have a PRO subscription

SEO: SEO is a craft unto itself. I build websites that bring the brand to life and speak to our ideal client. I’ll set the brand up with basic SEO, yet recommend you hire the experts to take over to achieve the best results in the future.
