Brand Exploration, Creative Direction & Moodboard Presentation

This phase is one of the most in-depth and detailed parts of the branding process, involving thorough research, exploration, reflection, and refinement. It begins by carefully listening to your vision and understanding the unique aspects of your business. From there, I cast a wide net, exploring colours, fonts, graphic elements, and inspiration from the world around us. This research allows me to gather insights that will shape your brand’s identity.

Once a clear direction begins to take shape, I’ll present 2x moodboard concepts — a visual blueprint that brings together all the key elements, including curated images, colour palettes, textures, and stylistic choices.

This gives you a clear picture of the aesthetic and tone we’re building for your brand. By aligning all creative efforts, the moodboard ensures consistency and cohesion, providing a foundation for the next stage of the process.

Branding & Website Concept

With the approved moodboard as our guide, I’ll begin developing the visual direction into a full brand expression through the website concept.

This stage involves refining the brand’s visual language — including typefaces, colour palette, imagery style, and graphic elements — which will form the foundation for Change Our Label’s online presence.

I’ll start with the design of a single desktop website concept, focusing on the homepage for initial review and approval.

Website Build

Once the concept is approved, I’ll design the remaining pages to align with the established look and feel.

I’ll design and build a 5x page Squarespace website, utilising content supplied by you.

Website launched to your chosen domain.

Brand Identity

Phase 3: 2-3 weeks

Logo Design

Your logo is more than just an identifying mark; it’s the face of your brand and the first impression of Change Our Labels. Based on our established brand direction, I will design two unique logo concepts for you to choose from, each thoughtfully designed to capture the spirit of your brand.

Your logo concepts will be presented in a way that lets you visualise how it’ll work within the brand, and what it might look like online and in print.

Social Media Direction

To bring your new brand identity to life, I’ll design and curate an initial 12-tile Instagram feed that showcases how your brand elements work harmoniously together. This feed will include a mix of layouts, colours, photos, and graphics, offering a clear vision and direction for future social media posts.

The 12 tiles will feature branded templates covering a variety of content. These designs will demonstrate how to create an authentic, consistent, and visually cohesive brand presence.

Canva Social Media Templates
& Brand Kit

I always aim to support and empower, ensuring you have the confidence to post on brand on your own. All approved designs will be uploaded into Canva as templates for you to customise easily.

I’ll also set up a brand kit so all your fonts, colours and logos are ready to easily access.

Branded Email Flows

To demonstrate how the Change Our Label brand can come to life across customer touchpoints, I’ll design 3 x sample email flows, using supplied copy.

These emails will reflect the new brand identity — incorporating the approved typefaces, colours, and graphic elements — to ensure consistency across the customer journey.

This foundational phase includes deep brand discovery, visual research, and the development of two distinct creative directions. It sets the tone for all branding and design work that follows.

Investment $1,900 +gst

Phase 2: Website Concept & Build

Website Branding & Concept Design Scope:

  • Refinement of visual brand language

  • Desktop homepage design

Part 2: Website Build Scope:

  • 5x page custom Squarespace site

  • Mobile responsive design

  • Domain connection & launch

  • Basic SEO setup

Investment $4,950 +gst

Phase 3: Brand Identity

Logo Design Scope:

  • 2x custom logo concepts

  • Final logo package (various formats)

Social Media Direction Scope:

  • 12-tile sample Instagram feed

  • Showcase of brand in action

Canva Instagram Templates & Brand Kit Scope:

  • Build approved designs in Canva & provide access as editable templates

  • Setup of brand kit (logos, fonts, colours, graphics)

Branded Email Flows Scope:

  • Design of 3x email graphics

  • Based on copy provided

  • Styled to match brand identity

Investment $3,850+gst

Total Investment = $10,700 +gst

Once the project wraps, the creative journey doesn’t have to end. I offer ongoing collaboration through flexible retainer options — a chance to keep the momentum going. You can find the package details here

For Brand Identity + Website, the project fees are split into four milestones:

25% deposit paid upon proposal approval, to secure your booking in my schedule.
25% paid after presentation of website concept.
25% paid after presentation of brand identity.
25% paid upon project completion, before final files are sent.

Timelines:

Timelines may extend if the relevant content needed or feedback is delayed by yourself.

Additional Fees:

Amends: While I am committed to ensuring your satisfaction with the designs, please note that the proposal includes one round of amends for each phase of the project. Should additional amendments beyond this round be required, I will need to reassess the scope of work and may need to provide a revised quote for the extra services. This policy helps maintain project timelines and ensures that I can deliver the highest quality work.

Website: Like all websites, your Squarespace subscription, domain etc are additional monthly fees - these are charged by Squarespace. Squarespace’s monthly fee encompasses reliable hosting, security, customer support, and regular updates, ensuring your website remains functional and professional while providing essential tools for growth. Fonts: I will always endeavour to use free fonts, though for something more unique, these occasionally need to be purchased by you for a small fee. It is a legal requirement that a company purchases any commercial fonts used in its branding materials, I can assist in sourcing these fonts to guarantee compliance with copyright laws.

Canva: To have access to the Canva templates, you will need to have a PRO subscription

SEO: SEO is a craft unto itself. I build websites that bring the brand to life and speak to our ideal client. I’ll set the brand up with basic SEO, yet recommend you hire the experts to take over to achieve the best results in the future.
